Description
A couple months ago I was lucky enough to get my very own acre of woods that I might turn into an animal and bird sanctuary as I see fit. The problem is that every inch of the acre is covered in blackberry thorns. At first I was excited about that since every vine was covered in the biggest, plumpest, juiciest blackberries until I tasted one. Have you ever chewed an aspirin? They were the biggest, plumpest, juiciest, bitterest, grossest blackberries I've ever tasted. So, clearly they serve no purpose to me as even the birds weren't eating them. When I first got the woods you couldn't go anywhere without getting cut by the thorns and worse, they would break off in your clothes causing burning and itching for the rest of the day. I've since cleared out a few trails. It's my goal to eradicate every blackberry and poison ivy vine in the woods and plant new trees and flowers that the birds will enjoy.
